Online Free Quiz Launches...MySpace, YouTube and FaceBook have revolutionsed the way we
stay ‘connected’ with our social network online. Now a new
kid on the block has entered the social networking scene.
www.QuizHead.com.au is the FIRST Australian
online free quiz site
specifically targeting the youth networking audience.
The new free quiz site is challenging users to encourage their
friends to reveal their ‘deepest darkest secrets’ by
creating an online free quiz. Just go to www.quizhead.com.au to register,
create your own quiz and be in the running to win an IPOD.
The QuizHead site is the brainchild of Carrie Webster, who
runs a successful Sydney based web development company,
WebGenesis, and is a self-confessed ‘internet junkie’! The
QuizHead site targets the often fickle youth market and like
other networking sites the content is 95 per cent
user-generated giving quiz makers ‘ultimate freedom’
(offensive material is monitored closely).
Quiz makers can create unlimited online free quiz questions with
multiple choice answers for their friends to answer. Once a
user has set up a profile, they can import their email
contact lists from MSN, Hotmail, Yahoo and Google email
accounts as well as posting their quiz links in their MySpace and Facebook profiles. Quizhead automates the
process of sending the online quiz link to their contact list to
invite their friends to take the quiz.
Carrie explains, “QuizHead is the ultimate way for users to
create challenging conversations with their friends, it is
also a fun way to ‘extract’ secrets. For example - Who is
your best friend eyeing off this week? Have they ever
cheated? What do they really think of your boyfriend? Or
create a fun quiz for a potential partner to help make your
mind up.”
“Not only is QuizHead a cool tool, but the quiz-making and
registration process is very, very simple and as you would
expect, everything is FREE. The most exciting part for quiz
makers is that we will be giving away IPODs every month for
the most popular quiz,” said Carrie.
“According to the latest web stats, social networking sites
are still among the most visited sites on the internet
today. MySpace has over 100 million members and YouTube sees
the downloading of around 100 million video clips per day –
with member registration increasing daily. While we are not
directly competing with these sites, Quizhead certainly aims
to offer a complimentary service. We’re really just creating
a place for people to have a laugh and not to take life too
seriously,” adds Carrie.
